When Your Defender Won’t Start, We Bring It Back to Life
This 1997 Land Rover Defender 90 NAS came to us the way many do—on a flatbed, non-running, and in distress. The owner had noticed fuel delivery issues, and after a few no-starts and a lingering fuel smell, it was clear something deeper was wrong. Legacy Overland was called in to diagnose, repair, and prep the truck for a summer of reliable driving.

Diagnosed. Repaired. Reborn.
We began with a full diagnostic session to isolate the issue. The culprit: a failing fuel pump and deteriorated fuel system seals. After safely transporting the truck to our workshop, we removed the rear bumper, spare tire support, and fuel tank to access and replace the fuel pump, gasket, and connecting hardware.
While we had the truck, we didn’t just fix what was broken—we tuned everything else to ensure a flawless summer season. The Defender underwent a full fluid service, including engine oil, differential oil, new filters, and a fresh oil cap. We also resolved a lingering electrical problem in the fuse box and relay system, which had been causing intermittent faults.
Final Touches for a Season of Driving
Before delivery, we completed a full detail and presentation prep. The result? A Defender that not only starts and runs perfectly but feels fresh, safe, and trail-ready.
