Modern Purpose, Classic Spirit
There’s something magnetic about the Land Rover LR4—a modern 4x4 that still echoes the classic utility of its forebears. This 2021 LR4 arrived tired and weathered, its luxury dulled by time. But beneath the wear was still the heart of a capable overland machine. At Legacy Overland, we set out to give it something more than just a refresh—we gave it identity.
The transformation began with a bold choice: Arles Blue, a color with deep Land Rover heritage, paired unexpectedly with a white roof rack and rear ladder, paying tribute to expedition builds of old. This wasn’t nostalgia—it was intention. The kind of statement you make when function and history are both sacred.

Where Precision Meets Grit
We approached this Land Rover LR4 restoration with both restraint and aggression. Restraint in what we preserved—its raw ability. Aggression in the details: an engine overhaul that went deep—timing chains, machined heads, new gaskets, sensors, cooling system, and every critical component refreshed. The transfer case was rebuilt and resealed; the brakes completely redone with new rotors, hubs, and bearings; the air suspension repaired from tank to valve with surgical precision.
Inside, this build turns. The front seats and door panels were reupholstered in OEM-correct material, subtle and authentic. A new wood veneer kit replaced tired trim with warmth and polish. The infotainment system was upgraded, fully integrated with Bluetooth, rear camera, and amplified sound that stays true even with the windows down and dirt roads ahead.
The result is a refined, modern 4x4 that feels unmistakably grounded in Land Rover legacy. It doesn’t scream for attention—it earns it. And with a set of BFGoodrich Trail/Terrain tires gripping the road, this LR4 doesn’t just look the part. It’s ready for the next hundred thousand miles.
