A Defender Reimagined with Diesel Heart

Some builds start with nostalgia. This one started with intent. Project Latorre was never about cosmetics or novelty—it was about making a Defender 110 truly usable, powerful, and refined. We took this 1992 Land Rover D110 down to its bones and rebuilt it into a one-of-a-kind overland machine, centered around a Cummins diesel heart and purpose-driven upgrades.

Everything was touched—from the locks to the loom, from the glass to the gears. This wasn’t restoration for show; this was restoration to endure.

Modern Function Meets Classic Utility

Beneath the utilitarian exterior now hums a Cummins diesel engine—a transplant that brings torque, reliability, and long-haul performance. We integrated a modern wiring loom, added power windows, a security system, and LED lighting throughout. Inside, the overhaul was complete: metal hardware, billet alloy door pulls, reupholstered panels, updated switches, and a properly installed sound and infotainment system.

This D110 was finished with care and mechanical precision, including final tuning, clutch and pedal adjustments, and rearview camera integration into the double-DIN dash.
