Timeless Form, Transformed Function
When Elgar brought us his FJ60, he envisioned a classic Land Cruiser—still boxy and bold—but reimagined for modern performance and everyday drivability. Over the course of several months, we transformed this 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser into a formidable machine with the heart of a modern V8, re-engineered electronics, and refined interior comfort—while preserving the rugged character that makes the FJ60 a legend.
Underneath the original body lines lies a fully overhauled mechanical platform anchored by a Chevrolet 350 small block V8 paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. With electronic fuel injection, ApplePlay integration, and comprehensive undercarriage work—including Raptor liner and insulation—this FJ60 is ready for the next adventure, whether crawling fire roads or cruising city streets.

Project Elgar reflects what we believe is possible when you blend vintage design with modern upgrades—where nostalgia meets capability. From the roar of the V8 to the subtle grey leather inside, it’s a statement piece built to roam.
