This 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 came in with history in its bones and purpose still in its heart. We stripped it down, inspected every inch, and rebuilt it to go further. First came the rust — we fought it back with pre-primer coatings and Raptor-lined the frame to stand up to time and terrain. Then came the body. We kept its original color but gave it new depth, new shine. Cleaned the fascia, swapped the tail lights, restored the chrome wheels, and replaced everything that had softened with age — door handles, seals, gaskets, trim.

We yanked the radiator and dropped in a Champion aluminum unit with twin 11" fans and a custom shroud. We fixed the AC system and installed LED lighting inside and out, wired tight and clean. The power steering pump got replaced, the brakes inspected for drag, and the engine bay degreased and dressed — even the carb intake and booster got fresh paint.

Comfort, Clarity, and Canine Cargo

Inside, we laid down new carpet and cleaned the headliner. Rebuilt the dash with a cap and a custom bezel to fit the new radio. The speedo now works, and the gauges read true. We fixed cabin lights, re-wired aftermarket lighting, and upgraded the halogen KCs to a mix of LED yellow and white — built for long nights and dirt roads.

Even the dogs got a nod — a raised cargo platform with trunk cages in the back. This wasn’t just a repair. It was a full-circle restoration: electrical, mechanical, interior, paint, and purpose.
