Project Revival – A Classic FJ40 Made Right Again
This 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 came in showing its age — tired wiring, faded chrome, a sagging interior, and signs of deferred care under the hood. But the foundation was solid, and the truck deserved a second life.
We started where it matters: cleaned and resealed the engine, upgraded and tuned the carburetor, sorted the wiring, and replaced tired components throughout the ignition and fuel systems. The oil pan, valve covers, intake, and cooling system were pulled, cleaned, and rebuilt. Leaks fixed. Vibration gone. Doors were adjusted. New chrome bumpers fitted. Chrome cleaned or replaced. The car was repainted in classic Dune Beige.

Simpler Inside, Stronger All Around
Inside, everything changed. Old carpet pulled. New squareweave laid down. Seats rebuilt with fresh foam and trimmed in warm cognac leather — same for the dash, console, armrest, and steering wheel. We added subtle upgrades: CarPlay radio, backup camera, clean sound through new speakers and a compact amplifier. The sunroof now glides open. The doors close tight. This FJ60 was re-born to cruise in understated luxury and finesse.
Key upgrades include:
