Firmly established as a classic off-roader, this 1973 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 came to us for a complete interior restoration – one that would elevate its timeless style, but also deliver a unique blend of heritage luxury with today’s creature comforts.
The immersive experience starts with a custom Alcantara headliner, perfectly fitted to the roof, offering a sleek and durable finish. Then, our interior leather upholstery work steals the stage with its superior craftsmanship. The custom seats and rear bench, reupholstered in rich brown leather with designed stitching, turn each overland trip into an unforgettable journey, where comfort, sophistication, and adventure go hand in hand.
To complete the refined look, the center console and cubby box were also wrapped in matching brown leather, while the dashboard was upgraded with a custom leather trim, creating a tactile and tasteful car interior.
And refined touches
A few key technological touches give this vintage Land Cruiser just the right dash of modernity. For a quieter, more comfortable ride, we applied Dynamat sound deadening throughout the cabin floor, drastically reducing road noise and enhancing the journey. Otherwise, one wouldn’t truly enjoy the new premium sound system installed in the cubby box, paired with Icon speaker covers and door speakers for a full auditory adventure.
Automotive and tech enthusiasts will appreciate the Dakota Digital instrument gauge cluster, which we added for a more precise and contemporary driving experience. And because we’re all about the finishing touches, we topped off our meticulous interior restoration with new Icon sun visors, a custom shifter tunnel hole for perfect fit and insulation, and a custom German square weave carpet with English cloth edge binding.
